What people might not realize is that Sanibel was hit so much harder than Captiva. Tweenies benefitted from that. Hopefully not many will belittle a person for wearing a mask. Tropical Storm Ian is a very great threat to Sanibel. This morning, I downloaded a map showing the consensus track passing over Captiva/North Captiva. So, I'm concerned about our timeshare, everyone who lives on the island, and the possibility of great disruption. Even if Ian tracks away from Sanibel, it will likely hit the Gulf Coast of Florida. For us - traveling in high season - it was. Tarpon Beach is right next door and might have three units available. This is not as large of a complex and is on a nice stretch of beach. Convenient to bike paths, Bailey's and several restaurants. Pine Cove is the next complex west of the first two properties mentioned.

Always a surprise. Bowman’s Beach changes from hour to hour . From strong waves and few beach walkers to suddenly beach umbrellas and families and couples covering the sand.
