Chen and T’laan are your two main hostile damage mitigators. Chen against energy weapons, Tlaan against kinetic. Cadet Uhura’s captain ability provides another 15% mitigation against all damage types. If you can't stack sufficient defense as required by Beverly, then Moreau may be a better answer until you can. I suspect, though, if you've got a Jellyfish and a T8 Augur, then you should have little trouble stacking defense, so take your pick of the final two crews, it makes no difference whatsoever.
