The only other way I can think of is if you don't mind a little jury rigging, take a gas seal similar to the SP 20 gas seal cut from another wad & build up the wad column with fiber filler wads & use the shot cup on top. Be careful to use the same type of gas seal as the data you go by. The fiber wad should not significantly change the pressure. B.

It really depends on what powder you're using, and consequently the volume, if you're using Unique, you're in trouble, if you're using WSF you have more options. I just went out and tried a 1 oz. load using the DRV20 wad. STS hull and W-209, 17.0 grs, Longshot, (Hodgdon lists from 16.3 to 18.0 using the WAA20F1), and 1 oz. #7-1/2 shot. Had to use a little bit of wad pressure, but it then fit and crimped very nicely. Just need to contact Hodgdon and get their blessing on the load.

The PT28 is the Remington wad produced now. Observing the two wads they are the same overall height and shotcup and cushion heights are also the same. My favorite loads is Remington 20ga hull, Orange Duster wad, 16.5 gr Unique, STS primer, 7/8 oz of shot. For the AA (old style) hull, I use 15.5 gr Hodgdon Universal, Claybuster WAA20 clone wad, W209 primer. If I'm loading one oz loads, I use Hodgdon Longshot and the SP20 wad. Doubled Distinguished.
