The vast majority of veterans who file a claim for veterans disability benefits will need to attend a VA Compensation and Pension Exam. The C&P examination can be done at the VA or sometimes by a contractor like LHI. An ACE exam is an Acceptable Clinic Evidence exam, sometimes called a records review. If you already had all your C&P exams it's probable that the VA had some issue with one or more of them and sent them back for further development / clarification. I've personally seen it happen when the examiner didn't clearly opine on service connection.

I had An LHI exam literally returned to the VA in 48hours and I went to PFD. Others have had to call and ask for status. I just did an exam with QTC and they told me to expect 20 days minimum but I’ve seen on this sub much quicker and much longer! hope yours is quick like my LHI.
