If the Pip-Boy becomes invisible after you exit power armor, you can fix this by exiting the power armor, going to a workbench, transferring over whatever clothes the character is currently wearing, then get back into the power armor and exit it again. The Pip-Boy should now start working again and you can re-equip the clothes from the workstation.

You've activated the "ULTRA SECRET HARDCORE" mode where you have to beat every enemy to death with your fists, in no armor. To be serious, though, sounds like a problem on the NMM side of things.

You can still use pip pad. It doesn't suddenly appear on your arm, so everything seems to still be working fine. Edit 2: Unfortunately the Pip Pad blows up whenever you load your game, making this mod and that one incompatible. I wonder why, since Pip Pad works fine if you survive the explosion.
