Same issue here. Purchased used 2011 Acadia Denali 6 months ago. This past week, the hissing sound, hot air, the AC light blinks 3 times, then off. Took to Valvoline for a quick pressure test to see if anything was leaking. Nothing found. Freon added, recharged and cold air once again ($127 w/1yr free freon charges, as needed)..
