To summarize I've created several Item Sets for the Supply Drop to choose from.. Sets are (Resources, Saddles, Chibis, Armor, Weapons, Ammunition) Each Supply Crate has 6 item sets, 2 of which are guaranteed (Resources and Ammo), the rest are 0-2 or 0-1. So if you're really unlucky all you'll get is some resources and ammo.

Latest patch notes: * Fixed misc level bugs, including bad physics zones, non-buildable submerged ice caves, unreachable supply drops etc. Definitely needed this on some supply drops, especially on the mountains as they were dropping "inside" rocks and were impossible to access.
A great cave location is at Lat 86.3, Lon 04.9 known as the Mines of Moria. The cave location is at the bottom left of the Ark Fjordur map. There are multiple resources inside the cave, it is huge, and even comes with a bridge. There is also a mini aberration area and the Dragon Boss Terminal located inside the cave.

i was having this exact issue. i’m on single player, xbox and no loot was dropping for me in the ab cave. i tried the log out and back in again a slight distance from the red drop. i was a bit away but could see it. i loaded back into my world and the drop was there. it does work :)
