Thanks david but the dvrptr boards are not mmdvm modem boards they are an earlier generation board specific to DSTAR and use with DSTARrepeater. We appreciate the info given on your system but this thread is aimed specifically at what mmdvm boards are being used by repeater and gateway sysops and very much less in regards to the rf decks or ...and a MMDVM board is a digital only device. on the flip side you can use AllStar on GMRS to link repeaters together and I suppose simplex nodes as well (no repeaters allowed on MURS) there is plenty of GMRS linking going on via AllStar. but you must run it on a private network as you cant cross GMRS and Amateur services.The MMDVM software is a fabulous development realised by Jonathan G4KLX allowing to built a multimode digital hamradio repeater.
