Sig p365 slide release hard to push.
Most of the time a slide gets jammed because the recoil spring has fallen out of position and is making contact with the frame. The best way to solve this is get the gun back into battery. Meaning, return the slide to the normal rest position. Sometimes you have to give it a firm push but that usually fixes the problem.

The other (proper) way to do so is to remove the empty magazine. Problem (never existed) solved.
It takes almost no force to defeat the magazine release spring. The only reason I can see to use force to insert a magazine is in the event the slide is closed so you're able to defeat the magazine spring as the top round makes contact with the slide.
