It seems like they thought it would be cool to have the twist, but didn't exactly develop it well, in true Bioware fashion. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but when everyone and their brother starts comparing KOTOR to works of literature and such nonsense, somebody has to shoot that silliness down. Kotor 1 has exactly 1 plot twist and a variety of great subplots with twists that are very fun. This also makes a replay really fun to explore. Kotor 2 isn't really a game about it's plot. There are a couple twists near the end but they're not cool like Kotor 1.I've never played KOTOR 2 before and was going to wait until the Switch DLC to buy it, but obviously that never happened. Everyone knows the KOTOR twist, which was one of the biggest reveals in gaming history. Instead of changing any part of the story, KOTOR can contribute to the world by expanding its scope and adding additional lore. Added lore would not only make KOTOR feel fresh, but it would also entice players to learn more of the lore in SWTOR.
