As far as becoming Thane, I'm not sure what it would take since I became Thane before siding with the imperials and putting Maven in power =x. This is what I did as well. Aug 14, 2022 · Thane of Riften is a version of Honeyside that replaces Queen of Thieves, so they cannot be used together. Although I love QofT, keeping the bed in the original position was necessary to persuade Brynjolf to do all he's meant to do, so I had to reconfigure the home, to suit the upcoming mod, as vanilla Honeyside is completely unacceptable. So it seems that either the act of buying the furnishings and/or going to the house before becoming thane causes this glitch.
