Ill be on horseback or sprinting, after about 10 seconds of sprinting the sounds of my footsteps will disappear and then after about another 15 seconds ill freeze for about 30 seconds, and then ill be able to continue. They are compatible. Skyland is a texture replacer, and JK's Skyrim changes the architecture of the cities, adding clutter, buildings, etc., so the two mods have nothing in common.
