if you want it really ceap I5-4790+Ti750 gtx can handle easily 70fps on Rust. But for future proof system, go with Nvidia 1060 minimum. I recently built a PC for about $950 USD (before taxes). I get 60-90 FPS on Rust (average is about 70) with max settings.
Hey fellow rust admins, About a year ago we started a 10x Server with a main Focus on PVP - not some kind of aim maps, but a map size of ~1000, shrinked vanilla monuments. We do pay all cost by our self's since we want the Server plus plugins like SkinBox etc. to stay free. POP is between 5-15 at most times, but sometimes also empty.It just takes a really long time to get into the game. Rust is on sale every official steam sale (as I recall). This trick is rather old and a lot of people know it BUT there is still one problem: You have to enter it every time you restart rust. Go to "Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\cfg" and then open the "client" file. Scroll down to the bottom and type in "physics.steps "60" ". Now the default setting for you jump height is set to 60.Same happens to me. I've tried reinstalling, verifying game files, restarting comp and router, opening Rust ports, dropping firewalls, and running Steam and Rust Client as admin. Industrial lights should provide plants with light. theyre cheaper to craft and use less electricity than default lights. There would be no point in ever using default lights if they followed your suggestion. By making everything easier and cheaper the overall game doesn't get better.

A lot of comments here are suggesting to change your gamma, etc, but nothing will help you in pitch black nights. The nights used to be a lot lighter, and people abused that by changing their gamma settings, etc, so they could see as clear as day. This don't work anymore because dark nights atm are pure darkness, and everything is 100% black.
