For the lost cargo, though, unfortunately it can appear almost anywhere on the map, but it is usually near the prepper that you're supposed to deliver it to. So check the areas between the FP and the Spiritualist, anywhere between FP and Moutain Knot (especially the BT areas), and sometimes between FP and Timefall Farm.
