Neither Koni or Bilstein offer dampers for the Element and besides they are overkill. I prefer KYB but Sachs are good. Unfortunately neither offer the strut assemblies which makes things a lot tougher. The non-start condition usually occurs after the car has been turned off (duh), and then a restart is attempted after ~15 minutes. If it's hours between starts, it almost never happens.
