Is there a Walmart near you? They usually have the Mossberg 500s for $227. I prefer the Nova over the 500 because it is virtually indestructable. $250 for a used Nova is a bit much. Have you tried haggling with the shop. $200 is more in the ballpark for the Nova, IMO. I have bought several 500s for $100-150 in really good shape.The P3000's comfort is surprisingly good. Second, I feel it has a better action, and for me it is easier to cycle. My 835 was one of the models that had trouble with the extractor not grabbing the shell when you cycle the action.
