wooden one just doesnt have enough KO power sometimes, so if the npc has low HP in general this can happen. it wont anymore with the next tier truncheon. or solution: let the npc reset its hp by breaking agro for a moment, since KO progress does not reset, this is easier to do solo than with a thrall however.

Truncheon is a level 10 weapon. It has awful knockout (15 light, 20 heavy). It does 1 damage (actually 2 damage with the perk). Deirde Deathbringer and Ciria the Mad may be “T4” but they have 165 health, they are Exile, they are weak. The Truncheon is super weak in knockout.
