Also I like the iron round shield better for blocking a little en parry. More than a medium shield. Just look at the enemy's hand and trie to hit the hand with the parry. This works most of the time. Don't get to much distracted by the sword and other movements.Different parry tools have different timings, i.e. you have to press L2 significantly earlier with Parry Dagger or a medium shield than with a parry shield or caestus. This makes reaction parries harder to pull off, you have to recognize the attack earlier. For reaction parries in PVE, the fast parry tools are easiest to use.The buckler is the single best parrying tool with very fast startup frames (slower only to the caestus) and a whole lot of active frames as well. Having it in your offhand is a dead giveaway though and will make your opponent wary. Try using a small or medium shield, most people dont even know which ones can parry.
