I'm going to play my second ever PF2 campaign and it will be the first time we will play with Free Archetype. To be frank I'm overwhelmed by the number of archetypes so I wanted to ask the fine people here about what archetypes pair well with the Champion. My plan is to play a Paladin with a two-handed Reach Weapon. Glad for any advice or tips.

If you happen to play with free archetype, a Aberrant Sorcerer with Champion dedication for Armor and Martial Artist Dedication for Gorilla stance would probably be a fun experiment. Or just go all out Martial Artist with Mountain Stance. Both builds also capitalize on the other two Focus spells which shine when you are in the thick of the fight.

The medic and herbalist archetypes are natural thematic pairings with the alchemist and the loremaster archetype benefits from the alchemists INT.
