Instacart shopper scams.
I've used Instacart for years with no issues, but today this exact scam happened to me, and I won't be using it again. The shopper picked out our items suspiciously quickly, and added 10x quantities to expensive items, adding on over $100 to the order. In the chat, he said his app glitched but he spoke to customer service and it was all good.

Then you get a call back from someone who's says they are Instacart support they say your account has been flagged for fraud. They give a story about shoppers using other people to shop for them etc They ask for a verification code you are sent by Instacart to verify you account. Always shop on days when a shopper promotion is offered by Instacart. This is a good time to rack up some extra cash by completing the required amount of orders required by the promotion in one day. Promotions are generally offered on days where there is a high volume of orders and is a great time to make some quick cash.
It does feel like a huge scam, BUT if I did deliver to an address farther away, I would take screenshots of the chat and the google maps of the directions. Then go to chat to verify that the customer changed the address they wanted it delivered to, send the amount of miles/km and ask for a bump to make up for the difference.
