If the P365 is too small for your hands, then I would easily recommend the XL. The XL is a belt carry gun while the P365 has a bit more versatility with concealment due to its size. I've owned both at the same time and ended up getting rid of the XL. I like how the P365 rides and there's a bit of sentimental value attached to the P365.

The P365 is fully cocked when the slide is racked. The sear drops straight down into the chassis to release the striker. Pretty easy to see when your slide is off the gun. Glocks are partially cocked when racked. The trigger pull fully cocks and releases the striker. Check out this animation of the Glock action.It all depends on you as a person and the application of the firearm. If you live a relatively "normal" life that doesnt involve running into bad guys, or live in a bad neighborhood then the P365 would be a perfect gun for home defense. I love those Hogue grips over the P365 grips. However after some time I moved to WC grips. That said, those Hogues help keep my grip over more surface areas on the Sig OEM grips and in turn makes follow up shots better, easier. BTW - it's reported the P365 have had a tendency to increase it's trigger pull over the last 4 years of manufacture. Initial reports were of pulls as low as 5 and fractions of a pound, now it's over 6+. I'm not carrying a trigger pull scale to check what's in the box before I leave the store but it's not a bad idea.
