To disassemble you have to completely remove the magazine out of the handle. You do not need to pull the trigger. Push the slide back and hold up on the slide lock so that the slide stays back. Push the takedown lever down toward the trigger guard.You may have to completely reassemble the fcu. Although for me the issue was the sear was blocking the take down lever from going back in. So you may have to push down on the top of it to move it out the way. The p365 fcu is definitely a pain in the ass compared to the 320. It seems like just one pin holds the whole damn thing together. Thank you for contacting SIG Sauer and for your recent P365 purchase. The slide will not go forward on an empty magazine because the slide catch lever and the follower are both able to stop it. If you strike the bottom of any magazine hard enough you may be able to get the slide catch lever to release the slide.
