Dec 5, 2020. #1. My 990 is the only one I have ever owned, and it has always run perfect so I never had to adjust the valves. There is a company called Messick's that. specializes in David Brown parts. They sent me some things I needed. Maybe they can tell you about the valve gaps. Hope this helps.The voltage across the lugs of the solenoid should be the same as the voltage of the battery. If not, you either have a defective solenoid, bad/loose wiring connection, or the battery is bad. Make sure all the wired connections are clean and tight and try again.
