Imho, it usually depends on whether you're planning to get the Ecu Perk or not. If not, definitely use it an an Ecu, but if you are, keeping it as a tech world is a really good option. +25% to all Tech is hard to get elsewhere.Ave Worm-in-waiting. 5 stability is 3% production. Flat reduction. Research has 100%+ bonuses from research and other bonuses. Alloys and CGs can have 60%+, basic resources you can get repeatables for. 5 stability is nothing for 20% research speed. Or you can get 5 worlds to fill with labs for a 200-300%x research.

As can bee seen with the attached save files, the final "Worm in Waiting" event which changes the all planets in my home system to Tomb worlds does change the planets, but does not change the habitability of my main species to Tomb world preference nor adds the Natural Physicists or Repugnant traits to them.

There are two techs you must research that are new after the chain is started. After researching these tech you get a temple building to build and that starts the process of letting the worm in.The worm does not actively try to ruin your empire if you accept its love.
