Both DSR and NIS are spatial scalers. Scaling an image up, and then down again nets you nothing in the best case scenario, and you can easily lose quality. Don't really understand why Nvidia changed this amazing feature in his Image scaling which sincerely sucks, it just isn't worth it. You can use the sharpening filter also in nvidia geforce expereince but then the fps hit will be far larger and only a few games, when the driver level will applied to EVERY single application, even emulators.
